Gevalia Kaffe
Gevalia Kaffe were
established in 1853 by Victor Theodor Engwall. The business started
in the small Swedish seaside town of Gavle producing high
quality coffee from the world's finest beans.
In 2003 Gevalia launched the
'Extraordinary Cup Collection' where three top fashion designers
(i.e. Lilly Pulitzer, Dana Buchman & Linda Allard of Ellen Tracy)
were invited to design a cup and saucer which complemented specific
Gevalia coffee blends. Money raised from sale of the cups and
saucers was donated to 'A Taste for Charity' , a benefit for the
Kennedy Centre Alliance for Arts Education Network.
Rosenthal was selected as the
preferred manufacturer and supplier of the cups and saucers.
